COMPOSITION: SUPERIOR STUCCO INTERIOR FINISH is scientifically blended at our manufacturing facility and contains Portland cement, Calcium Carbonate and our SUPERIOR STUCCO proprietary ingredients.
COVERAGE: Approximate coverage per 50 lb. is 8 sq. yards @1/16”-1/8” Thick. SUPERIOR STUCCO INTERIOR FINISH can have custom colors integrated; available upon request. Coverage will vary depending on substrate, texture and thickness of application.
PROCEDURE: Initially all wallboard joints should have the mesh joint tape embedded in SUPERIOR STUCCO INTERIOR FINISH. After joints have been addressed, begin with the application to 100% of the wall or ceiling area. Work time depends on conditions on the job averaging between 60-70 minutes. Additional troweling or coloring can be done after full coverage is achieved. May add sand for more rustic finishes. Do not re-temper with water.
MIXING: Using an electrical drill with paddle mixer, start with clean potable water. Mix for up to 10 minutes to a thin consistency until it is smooth and free of lumps. Be sure to use a long margin trowel to scrap edges of mix bucket to remove any dry powder and to prevent clumps.
APPLICATION: SUPERIOR STUCCO INTERIOR FINISH shall be minimally 1/16”- 1/8” thick. Pre-treat all wallboard joints by embedding mesh joint tape. Trowel on an even coat, covering 100% of your wall surface area, then float or trowel to desired texture. Prior to drying out, you may water-trowel the surface to the desired or approved finish level, using as little water as possible. ** If painting over finish material, please assure the alkaline level is Neutral. May cause efflorescence if the alkaline levels are too high. May be applied over interior masonry walls properly prepared.
Clean tools and surfaces immediately with water.
LIMITATIONS: Do not apply SUPERIOR STUCCO INTERIOR FINISH when the temperature is below 40 degrees F or above 100 degrees F. This range of temperature must be kept for 48 hours to ensure proper curing. Keep away from hydrostatic pressure (Moisture/water) after applying until dry. Do not apply SUPERIOR STUCCO INTERIOR FINISH until surface is free of all contaminates. Application in direct sunlight may affect the final outcome and color consistency. Under normal conditions SUPERIOR STUCCO INTERIOR FINISH provides a uniform color finish. However, colors may vary due to job, base coat, weather and methods of application beyond the control of Stucco Supply .
