Description:

Superior Stucco Acrylic Bonder is suitable for both Interior and Exterior applications over New Plaster or cement based products, also when a superior bond is desired over old Plaster, Cement, Stucco or painted surfaces. Can also be used as an Admix for Cement based products. Meets or exceeds ASTM C1059 for Bonding Agents and ASTMC1583 for Admixtures (Tensile & Bond Strength).

Applications:

Take care that all surfaces are clean and suitable for application. Lightly wet wall when using Superior Stucco Acrylic Bonder, as it is important to insure that the moisture level of the substrate is correct to achieve the optimum bond strength. Saturated, Surface, Dry ( SSD) procedure is recommended.

  • An excessively dry substrate may absorb too much water from the repair material, possibly resulting in excessive shrinkage.
  • Excessive moisture in the substrate may clog the pores and prevent absorption of the repair material.

Apply 15 minutes to One (1) Hour before cement or plaster materials are applied. Wall should be tacky to the touch. If Superior Stucco Acrylic Bonder dries on surface before application begins, just reapply a fresh coat to the surface, as this product DOES NOT RE-EMULSIFY. A solid uniform coat may be applied with brush, roller or sprayer.

Coverage :

The coverage of the Superior Stucco Acrylic Bonder will vary due to job conditions, method of application, and weather conditions. Typically (1) Gallon of most of the Superior Stucco Acrylic Bonder will cover approximately 200-300 sq. feet (5 gallons: 1,000-1,500 sq. ft.) Yields will vary depending on dilution rate and porosity of substrate.

Storage :

The Superior Stucco Acrylic Bonder should be stored in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Keep above 40 degrees F and below 110 degreese F.

Limitations :

Do not apply Superior Stucco Acrylic Bonder when the temperature is below 40 degrees F or above 100 degrees F. This range of temperature must be kept for 48 hours to ensure proper curing. Keep away from hydrostatic pressure (moisture/water) after applying Superior Stucco Acrylic Bonder. Do not apply until surface is free of all contaminates. Please refer to the individual Superior Stucco product for detailed information.

Clean Up :

Clean up with water immediately. DO NOT ALLOW TO DRY BEFORE CLEAN UP.
